'That poem made me giggle'
Communication skills are going to be vital for all our children, whatever path they choose in life. We therefore place enormous emphasis on good literacy, making sure children grasp the fundamentals such as grammar and punctuation.
But English at The Paragon is about far more than spelling lists. We also introduce children to the richness and diversity of the written and spoken word. We encourage children to express themselves creatively in writing and be inspired by the writing of others. We use presentations, performances and discussions to help children develop confidence in communicating their ideas out loud. And we use children's love of stories to foster an enthusiasm for reading, identifying the right books to stimulate your child.
