Welcome to our outside classroom!
At The Paragon, we understand the importance of extending the learning environment to the outside, using our 'outside classroom'. By making good use of our extensive school grounds, the children can develop and extend
the skills they learn inside.
Every week sees each class heading out into the grounds to cover many different areas of the curriculum. They may explore the grounds for a creative story, go hunting for mini-beasts, spend time in the vegetable patch, float boats they have made down the stream, or even build a Roman road. These activities provide direct and relevant experiences that deepen and enrich learning.
We also have links with 'Swainswick Explorers', a local group which organises adventurous and stimulating outdoor play and learning opportunities for children. They come to our school every Wednesday morning to take each Year group out for a woodland adventure.
