During the school holidays we are delighted to be able to offer art school experiences, suitable for different age groups. All of these are led by our highly talented Head of Art, Miss Alex Hucks, are open to children from all schools and are held at The Paragon School.
Moths & Butterflies: Thursday 2 & Friday 3 August, 9.30am-4pm, Years 4-8. £70pp
A two day course for 9-13 year olds learning felt making and embroidery techniques to create felted moths and butterflies. Some basic sewing skills would be an advantage. To book, click here.
Fashion Illustration Day: Monday 13 August, 9.30am-4pm, Years 3-6. £35pp
Spend the day extending your fashion drawing skills and collage using mixed media. We will be investigating a range of contemporary fashion illustrators such as Julie Verhoeven and Sasha Pivovarova. To book, please use the attached booking form.
Where my wellies take me...: Tuesday 14-Thursday 16 August, 9.30am-4pm, Years 3-6. £100pp - FULLY BOOKED
Inspired by the Michael Morpurgo book, this three- day workshop will be outdoors with nature. It will involve developing the children's scrapbooking and sketching techniques to create a giant sketch book. We will focus on a range of drawing, painting, photography, collage and printmaking techniques with a focus on nature and the landscape. The children will aslo be introduced to a range of artists linking with this subject.
Robots: Monday 20 August, 9.30am-3.30pm, Years R-2. £35pp - FULLY BOOKED
During this workshop the children will be investigating the work of Eduardo Paolozzi and creating their own collaged robots through experimental print-making.
