Entrepreneurship Workshop

On Friday our Year 6 pupils enjoyed a workshop with Anthony Dutton, Entrepreneur in Residence, from Prior Park College.

He guided the ten and eleven year olds on the role of an entrepreur, what you need to start an business, the qualities of a successfull entrepreneur, costs, profit & loss, funding, staffing and, of course, identifying your customers, the most important people to your business.

It wasn't long before they were talking business plans and in groups the pupils presented their proposals. We heard about some enterprising potential organisations including dog walking services, car washes, tutoring, babysitting and an interesting Science supplies retail outlet.
