As part of Year 6’s topic this term on Bristol and following on from their walking tour in October, the children were back in the City to explore Bristol’s M Shed.
M Shed is located
on Bristol’s historic dockside and reveals the fascinating story of the City
and its unique place in the world. The children spent time discovering what certain
objects could tell them about the transatlantic slave trade and investigated
the process, abolition and legacy of the trade.
In addition, the pupils had time to investigate the life and legacy of significant Bristol people and had the chance to dress up in traditional costumes.
It was a great educational visit, which really helped to bring Bristol’s fascinating past to life!
