"We can't thank you all enough. The kids haven't stopped talking about the camp. Loved absolutely everything about it - so difficult to get them to prioritise their favourites. But, in no particular order they said they loved the staff (Great fun and thoroughly welcoming), face painting / tribe / survival games, all the cooking on the open fire, how everyone was open to the kids ideas, the making things / creative moments."
Here at Camp Teepee, we are great believers in the children experiencing the outdoors in an exciting and safe way. This not only gets them away from the digital entertainment but Camp Teepee offers something quite different from conventional sport and holiday clubs.
“Epic” and “Legendary” said Cameron and Louis. Mia and Polly said “Everyone is very friendly and the activities are really exciting”. As one mum reported: “They returned home every night dirty, tired and very happy. Just how kids should be during the summer holiday!”
Camp Teepee is 'hands on' and 'feet in' fun-filled day camps where the children get back to basics. Each day has different outdoor challenges such as harvesting and then brewing stinging nettle tea, building camouflaged shelters, orienteering and firelighting challenge. Also children have also decorated totem, cooked monkey bread on the fire, completed a blindfold trail through the woods and made pencils using tree branches and their homemade charcoal.
The children have been tired, mucky and smelling of woodsmoke at the end of the day with delightfully big grins on their faces.
Camp Teepee starts again on Monday 20th August until Friday 24th August and it takes place in the grounds of The Paragon School. It is suitable for those aged 6 to 11 years. To book contact teepee@paragon.priorpark.co.uk or for more information look at www.paragonschool.co.uk/camp-teepee
