Admissions

Prospective families are warmly invited to arrange a visit, Teams call or phone call with our Head of School, Mrs Rosie Allen. This will provide you with a chance to ask any questions you may have and give you a flavour of all that The Paragon has to offer.  

Complete our Admissions Enquiry Form or contact us by email: admissions.tps@priorparkschools.com.   We may also ask you to send a copy of your child's latest school report (if applicable) and any other educational reports to help provide us with a glimpse of their learning to date. 

If you feel that the school is the right fit for your child and family, complete the online Registration Form along with the registration fee of £125, payable by bank transfer to the school's bank account, or by cheque. Visit our Fees page for further information.  

As places are limited,  we recommend completing a registration form at your earliest convenience. If there are no places available in the year group requested, we will add you to our waiting list. 

We offer all prospective pupils a taster / assessment session with us. This is a wonderful way for your child to experience a little of what The Paragon has to offer, whilst comfortably interacting with their peer group. It also enables us to gain a better understanding of your child’s learning and behavioural needs during the course of the day.  Following the session, we will be able to discuss the offer of a place. 

Squirrels Pre-School: The term before the proposed admission, children are invited to attend an accompanied visit to Squirrels for an hour so they can familiarise themselves with the setting. Mrs Beccy Hughes, Head of Early Years, will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

Reception: Children looking for entry into Reception are invited to spend an hour within the classroom so they can meet their peer group and class teacher. There are no formal assessments at this age. 

Pre-Prep: Children who are looking for entry into Years 1 and 2 are invited to come to the school and meet their peer group and a member of the Pre-Prep teaching team. Your child will be assigned a buddy for this session. During the visit, they will be asked to complete some simple worksheets to that we can assess their learning to date. The session will be exciting and fun with lots of opportunities for your child to interact.  

Prep: Children who are looking for entry into Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 are invited to come to the school and meet their peer group and a member of the Prep teaching team. Your child will be assigned a buddy for the day. If your child has a particular interest in Music, Art or PE/Games please inform the Registrar who will endeavour to include the experience in their day. During the day, we will conduct short assessments whilst the children participate with normal lessons so that we have an overview of their abilities.  

Learning Support: Should you feel that your child requires additional support, please raise this with the Registrar. We would be grateful if you could share all professional reports early on in the admissions process so that we can share them with our Head of Learning Support.  

Once we have formally made an offer of a place, we will ask you to complete an Acceptance Form, accepting our terms and conditions as detailed in the Parental Contract. An acceptance deposit is also payable, and will be held by the school until such a time as your child leaving, in which case it will be credited against  your final bill, or reimbursed. 

As places are in demand, we ask you to confirm your place within 10 days of receipt of an offer email. After this period, your place may be offered to another family.
