Year 2 have been discovering all about the Ancient Egyptians this week, looking at their culture, beliefs and customs. In a day dedicated to the topic, pupils enjoyed bead making, mask making, hieroglyphic writing and painting Tutankhamun, and there was even the opportunity to take part in a professional dance lesson, focusing on Egyptian hand gestures and movements! Always a highlight of the day - the children worked in groups to make Flatbread - an ancient diet staple, where we saw some excellent measuring, mixing and bread-kneading skills!
