Cycling adventures along the Kennet and Avon Canal Path

Year 6 embarked upon an ambitious bike ride to Bradford-on-Avon and back this week, taking in the scenery along the Kennet and Avon Canal Path. They stopped at the spectacular Dundas Aqueduct which carries the Kennet & Avon Canal over the River Avon and is a Scheduled Ancient Monument. That means it's as important as Stonehenge! The weather held for the class, and they were able to enjoy a picnic lunch, returning to school exhausted but exhilarated after their day on wheels. Mr Isherwood was delighted that so many members of the public complimented the class on their behaviour and conduct.

Our two other Year 6 classes walked to Alexandra Park to sketch the view of Bath from the Skyline and we saw some wonderful artwork from their excursion. They will be experiencing the same cycling adventure after the Easter break.
