Star Warts! A Year 6 Production

The highlight of this sunny June week has been the annual Year 6 play, this year 'Star Warts' performed to parents in the Julian Slade Theatre at Prior Park College. We were treated  to a feast of singing, dancing, acting and general joy de vivre which will live long in our memories and those of pupils participating.

'Drama fortnight' is a rite of passage for Year 6 Paragon pupils and builds community, friendships, teamwork skills and undiscovered talents in their last few weeks with us at the school.

Year 6 teacher Mr Isherwood said "We were so pleased with all of their performances and the efforts they put in to learning their parts and stage directions. Boy can they act and, even though we’ve seen it through a few times, we still laugh at the predictable lines and the ever-so-special mistakes that were made. The children always gain a huge amount from the annual production, in terms of confidence, committing lines to memory whilst remembering songs and choreography and getting the opportunity to show off their acting and organisational skills".

Thank you to all involved in putting the show together, and well done Year 6!
