A fundraising success! Our Ceramic Spoon FoodCycle story

In the Autumn Term, Head of Art Alex Hucks launched a fantastic fundraising idea for our school charity, FoodCycle Bath. The charity pledges to combat hunger and loneliness within cities by cooking healthy meals using surplus food, and hosting sit-down suppers for those in need.

Every child in the school lovingly designed, made and decorated a beautiful ceramic spoon which could be kept to cherish, or gifted to family or friends. The spoons were created over several months in Art lessons, then fired and glazed - ready to take home for Christmas. By donating to FoodCycle, the spoons collectively raised £842 which was a fantastic achievement and placed us in the top 15% of Just Giving fundraisers in December.
