Ahoy! Sing for the Mary Rose!

Prior Park College choirs and musicians collaborated with children in Years 4&5 from The Paragon last night, in the Chapel of Our Lady of the Snows to perform Ahoy! a fusion of Tudor music and folk influenced sea shanties by composer Alexander L'Estrange. The arrangement tells the story of the sinking of King Henry VIII's battleship, The Mary Rose. Bea and Millie from The Paragon also played solos on the Organ and Violin beautifully.

The experience perfectly complemented Year 4's topic this term on the Tudors and was the perfect start to the festive season!
