We were delighted to welcome one of our parents to school this morning to talk at our Eco Assembly about our climate and how we can effect change. Mrs Gallie is co-founder of the company 'Project Everyone' and she showed the school some wonderful footage from Sir David Attenborough's "Seven Worlds, One Planet" series and then discussed the importance of scientists in the mission to reverse the damage that has happened to our environment and our wildlife. We were shown a t-shirt made from seaweed which looked just like cotton, and told about an edible coffee cup that could be consumed after drinking the contents!
Eco Club then showed us a collaborative sculpture based on a futuristic robot to help fight climate change that they have been making over the past few weeks. The robot will be shown at an exhibition of painting and sculptures about climate change at the 44AD art space in Bath from Wednesday 13th - Sunday 17th November, 11am - 5pm.
