It has been an exciting day of fundraising at The Paragon today. Our chosen charity - the Forever Friends Appeal at the RUH, are celebrating their 20 year anniversary which co-incides with their annual 'Ted's Big Day Out' - a region wide fundraising initiative. Since 1999, young people have raised over £350,000 to support areas of the hospital that lie beyond the scope of NHS funding.
Mrs Braithwaite and Ms Perrin started their 24 hour Danceathon at 8am and Joyful Noise, our audition choir joined in the fun by dancing with them on the Lodge veranda. By midday, they had received over £995 in donations! Children each brought in a teddy, as well as a donation, and formed a huge '20' in the playground - and they were delighted when Ted himself made an appearance.
Our Danceathon team will finish at 8am on Saturday and we will update you with the final figure next week. Their target is £2000 so please donate if you can! https://www.justgiving.com/f…/ginnyandbeckydanceathonparagon
