Year 6 pupil Daisy Sturtz-Filby has had some very exciting news as she has recently found out that she is a finalist in the Song Academy's Young Song Writer 2020 competition. Here is the story in her own words:
"I started song writing because I can let my emotions out in my songs. If I have a tune in my head, I go to the piano (even if it’s after bedtime!), and start singing and coming up with lyrics. Now I write new songs all the time and am always coming up with new ideas.
"Sweet And Sour was the first song I wrote - it’s about someone who can be really nice one minute and mean the next - and I entered it into the Song Academy’s Young Song Writer 2020 (www.songacademy.co.uk). I found out this week that I’m a finalist and I”m really really happy! I also have a YouTube channel called Daisy’s Friday Vibes where I upload a new song (either a cover or an original) every Friday”.
We wish Daisy all the best and look forward to hearing the next installation! Read more about the finalists here.
