Head's Welcome - Mr Malcolm Bond

Welcome to The Paragon. It is a privilege to lead a school that means so much to me, both personally and professionally.

My wife Kate and I watched both of our daughters flourish here, from their earliest days in Squirrels Pre-School through to the transformative experience of Year 6, when children grow in confidence, independence, and resilience. They are now thriving at Prior Park College, continuing to enjoy and value school life. That family connection shapes the way I see The Paragon: as a place where every child is known, supported, and encouraged to become the very best version of themselves.

Education should be inspiring, engaging, and fun! By providing the right balance of support and challenge, tailored to each child, our fantastic teaching team helps them develop self-belief, curiosity, and ambition. This approach also nurtures character and friendships, encouraging pupils to grow not only academically but personally. Children who feel happy, safe, and valued are free to deepen their understanding, pursue new interests, and achieve their full potential while learning the skills and values that will serve them throughout life.

Life at The Paragon is full of opportunity and discovery. Our classrooms are lively, stimulating spaces where children learn through doing, questioning, and collaboration. Eight acres of beautiful grounds extend learning beyond the classroom, while specialist teaching in subjects such as languages, art, music, games, and Forest School allows pupils to broaden their horizons and uncover new passions. Many continue to Prior Park College, and we work closely with both our pupils and the secondary school to ensure this important transition is a positive and exciting next step.
